FAQ

How do we book you?
Simply call or email us. Choose one of our packages, or discuss your requirements with us so that we can tailor-make a package to suit your needs.

Do you require a deposit?
A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking. The actual deposit amount will be confirmed at the time of booking.

What payment methods do you accept?
You can make a direct bank transfer or send a cheque. Cheques must be cleared before the booking is considered confirmed. Final balances must be paid a minimum of seven days before your function.

How long do you play for?
We will be happy to discuss your requirements when you book. Our standard length of engagement for the Ceilidh Band and the Ceilidh Disco mix is 4 hours. This includes break times. We can extend the booking to 5 hours (including breaks) for a small additional fee.

How far do you travel?
All over Scotland and beyond, including England and overseas! We are fortunate to have a base in both central Scotland and the Scottish Highlands so can reach all parts of Scotland easily.

What instruments are in your ceilidh band?
See “Meet High Drive” for our line up. We are happy to tailor the size of the band to suit your requirements and budget.

How does the Ceilidh & Disco mix work?
The most popular choice is 30-45 minutes of live ceilidh in each half. Before and after the ceilidh sets, our DJ plays tracks - everything from old standards, current chart hits and your chosen favourites - to really get the party going. There are many more options available to you (e.g. ceilidh in the first half, disco in the second half), though. See the “Ceilidh Disco” tab for more ideas. Let us know your preferences, the number of expected guests and where they're from, and we'll recommend what should work best for you.

How long does it take you to set up?
For our 'Ceilidh & Disco' packages, typically 45-60 minutes, including a sound check. For our 'Ceilidh Only' packages, typically 30 minutes including a sound check. We usually set up while the room is being “changed round”. We may charge an additional fee if an early set-up is required.
